Winter in Cheshire . . .

Hello...Hope every ones Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years was delightful! We had a great holiday season as always. Thanksgiving was spent with Jordans family this year. And for the first time every we hosted Christmas dinner with my side. It was really fun to have it at our place. Hope that continues to be the new tradition. The kids enjoyed being able to stay at home and play with their gifts instead of rushing off to place to place. This year Austyns belief in Santa faded a bit. She had a lot of questions and came to the conclusion that our Elf on the Shelf is not real. I think she had more fun playing along and moving the Elf for Quade than if she actually still believed in it. I explained to her that its about spreading the Christmas magic and the spirt of Christmas to other that makes things so special and magical. Naturally she loved that thought because she is so thoughtful and kind. But on the other hand Quade may have had his most magical Christmas. To see the innocence and magic in his eyes is priceless. I got to thinking Jordan and I only have a few more years until both kids "know". Sad in a way, but then I guess we finally get the credit for the cool gifts :) Our New Years was relaxing. We ALL stayed up and watched the sad and lonely New Years show. What a sight that was. We all enjoyed Christmas Break with no school. But we are back in the grove of things now. We still love the homeschool curriculum that we are doing. It's going to be hard to send them back to school next year, if that even happens.

Love this picture

The kids Christmas evening leaving Jordan's parents house.
Tuckered out from getting up so dang early.

Santa brought Austyn a keyboard. GG is giving her
piano lessons.

Worst Santa in History. Here he is behind his plexiglass.
We met all the cousins on Jordan's side for our traditional Santa picture
and he would look at the kids and hold his hands up and say "WHAT?" each
time they looked at him. Then when we went back to have the kids tell
him what they wanted he wouldn't get off his phone.

Austyn decorating Mimi and Papas tree.

Here we are up in the snow getting the Christmas tree
for the end of the driveway. We have never gotten a wild
tree before. It was so much fun.

Traditional Night Before Christmas on Christmas Eve.

Quade got an Indian head dress from our good neighbor Greg.

In their Christmas Jammies!! Speaking of....Quade decided that
for the whole month of December he would wear nothing but Christmas
pajamas. And that he did! Everyday for a month, nothing but Christmas
jammies.

Our Christmas table for dinner.

Our beautiful tree completely decorated by the kids, except the
top two feet.

Jordan putting the star on the tree at the end of the driveway.
This year we got solar powered Christmas lights for it. It was
pretty neat.

Quade getting to tell our Elf Alice goodbye.

We love our new blow up countdown

Sledding and Christmas tree hunting

Adorable Christmas cookies. Made by a dear friend.
Dad bought mom a windmill for Christmas. They have
wanted one for as long as I can remember.

We took a trip to the coast and hiked down the Hobbit Trail
right outside Florence. It was the coolest tide pools we had
ever seen. Hundreds of starfish, a sea otter, and so many cool rocks.

Quade went through an unGodly growth spurt and
literally grew out of EVERY article of clothing he had.
Even socks and underwear.

Hobbit Trail hike.

We recently went riding at the coast. You might not
notice but Austyn is wearing my sweatshirt, vest, boots, and
riding my bike. When did she get so big?

She has been wanting her tips colored for years and
for Christmas we gave her the go ahead. It looks so cute on her.

Here she is playing Volleyball. She got a total of two
games before the State shut it down.

Jordan put up some shelving in the back of the shop.
It looks so nice and makes it look so much bigger and organized.

How did my kids get so big???!

Make shift school pictures. 2020 style.

Matchy Matchy. Wont be too long until she's as tall as I am.

Doing pepperoni from the Elk Jordan got this year.

Austyn drove herself down to GG's for her piano lesson.

More pepperoni

And Finally....I got a new (new to us) car!! !!!!! I love it so much.
