Spring Time . . .

We are hot and heavy into spring things around here. Both kids are in baseball, I find myself continually mowing, the hay field is begging to be cut, and the days are long! I'm loving it!! I officially have summer fever and it is ALL I can do to send the kids to school each day. 18 more days of school until summer break. It seems like eternity.

A little catch up since the snow storm (again I can't figure out how these pictures keep getting mixed up when they download. So they are all out of order. Sorry!):

Jordan and I got to go to Puerto Vallarta in early April.
It was an incredible vacation. We went with my cousin and another
couple. This was my room service breakfast on the first morning.

Here is Quade all ready to help fix my parents
barn after a tree hit the roof in the snow storm.

The kids left the Easter Bunny a little treat

Andi is weighing a whopping 170 pounds these days and
she still thinks she's a little puppy.

So this was happening while we were in Mexico.
Flooding of 2019!

Evening shooting fun

Quade got his toy box finished by Uncle Tyler.
Jordan's grandpa made him and his siblings toy boxes
when they were little and then started making the
great grandkids toy boxes too. He had made Austyn one
before he passed away and then Jordan's brother finished
Quade's for him for his Birthday.

Jordan competed in the Seattle Stair Climb again this year. He did
amazing as usual.

Austyn CHOPPED her hair off.

St. Patricks Day's outfits

Jordan has been adding on to the playhouse and the kids
have been such good helpers.

Spring Break!!!

I love Oregon spring break. Raincoats and rubber boots.

Tarp city

This was the key to endless food and drinks on our vacation.
I love all inclusive resorts

The weather was perfect and our resort was perfect.
Everything was perfect.

We got to parasail.

I had NO idea there were alligators there

Look at the spread they left for the Easter Bunny.
They left him little salads in cupcake papers and
a cupcake for him to eat if he wanted something sweet.

with growing up.

Quades most recent snake find. I love that he's not afraid
of them.

Austyn and Quade are doing great in school and are both doing outstanding in baseball. It fills my heart with happiness to watch them play. They are both so ready for summer and all the fun things that go along with that. Like camping, fishing, hay season, swimming, camping in the backyard, etc.

Jordan is getting ready to start building the shop. It will be so nice for him to have a shop to work in.  He has been building the kids a huge addition to the playhouse. It is quite impressive to see. He is always busy with something.

I have been working at the school this past month doing all the state testing for the kids. I actually really enjoy it. I'm excited to get some flowers and put out around our house. First summer with concrete and it's going to be fun to add decorations to it. We repainted the patio furniture and it looks so nice. I had a wonderful Mother's Day. Jordan and the kids took me to wildlife safari and then to get some hanging baskets. All in all it was a glorious day. I hope everyone is doing great and looking forward to summer as much as we are.

Quade's 6th Birthday . . .

Better late than never I guess. I started writing another blog and quickly remembered that I never wrote his Birthday Blog. Poor little man had to cancel his Birthday 2 times. The first time was on his actual Birthday when he got the legitimate flu. I went to school at lunch time to take him his Birthday lunch (Subway sandwich) and he told me he didn't feel good and only ate one bite of his sandwich. I had them take his temperature and he didn't have a fever, but looked so pale and yucky. I decided to take him home and by the time we got home he had spiked a fever. So we had to cancel his party for that day. Two weeks later, I rescheduled his party and this time the snow storm caused it to be cancelled. He was such a trooper through all of it though. He never complained about it or whined. It was so sad to have to cancel it twice. But we finally made it happen and he had a blast. He wanted to go to a LEGO place for his party. It's pretty neat. The whole party gets to build race cars and race them on a track and then they can build LEGO guys and take them home. Everything is decorated in LEGOS too. Super cute party room.

He's got a mouth full of goodness.

Quade is absolutely loving Kindergarten. It is the highlight of his life. He takes it very seriously and is in the top of his class for reading and math. It makes me so proud that he loves it so much and tries really hard and enjoys it.
He is currently playing Baseball. I played him up a year (because I was being lazy and wanted to take advantage of both kids being on the same team for the first and only time). He is doing outstanding for being the youngest by almost 2 years. His determination is incredible for his age. He is playing just as good as the big kids. I'm so proud of him. And I enjoy watching him play.
He is infatuated with Jordan. Anything Jordan does Quade mimics. From his hair to the clothes he wears. It's is adorable and he couldn't have a better role model. He has gotten his confidence back on his motorcycle. And does really good riding around the house. He is excited for this summer to swim and to fish in the river. I took him out for a practice run on fishing and he did great casting and being patient. He is still an incredible story teller. His interest in "man" things is through the roof. I am blown away at his retention level at his age. He is so smart and can remember how things work or can figure out how they work just by watching.
I can't believe my baby is 6. Makes me so sad to think how fast that went. I soak up every snuggle and hug I can from him, because I know he won't want to do that forever. I'm really excited to see him grow and experience life. His personality traits are going to take him far in life. And I hope he is just like Jordan in every single way. I know I say that every year in his Birthday Blog, but I truly hope he is.

Just a few pictures of my big boy over the year
