Time Flys When You're Having Fun ...

Boy, where does the time go? I can not believe we only have one short month left of summer break :( I'm happy to report that we have taken full advantage of this summer and have made it the best one yet. Starting off from my last post, we made it to Cabo!!!! It was the best time ever. The weather was perfect, all inclusive was amazing to experience, being on vacation with just Jordan was incredible, and it was the perfect amount of time.
The Cabo group!

Quade being a boy!

We really hit the swim lessons hard this summer. Quade did two sessions and Austyn is currently in her third session. They really really did well. Their comfort level increased tremendously, and their skill level is amazing. I love watching them participate in things and be proud of themselves for their improvements and efforts.

We got the opportunity to share our nephews special day when he was Baptized. The kids and I were pretty excited to witness it.

Once again we have been camping out in the tent all summer. The kids absolutely love it. And Quade gets to join the fun this year. It's been substantially cooler at night this summer, but we still brave it.
Backyard camp out with hot dogs and jiffy pop!

Austyn has had a weird streak of bravery lately. So we've been taking full advantage of it and started to ride horses again. She's been on four or five rides so far and doing better each time. She's no where near where she use to be with riding but at least she's comfortable enough to get on again.

As usual we hit up a couple rodeos this summer. We were able to go to the St. Paul rodeo and then the Philomath Frolic. Those are my favorite rodeos. The kids love going to the rodeos especially when there is a carnival with it. I always love a good rodeo!

We had a great time over the Fourth of July. We were able to go to the parade in Harrisburg with my parents and then go to the rodeo with Jordan's parents. The kids were great and enjoyed the extra special treats for special occasions.
We've been on some pretty awesome camping trips so far. One was to Cresent Lake with Jordan's family. It was so fun. Great people, great weather, and so so so much fun for everyone. We came home on Friday afternoon for my cousins rehearsal dinner, wedding on Saturday, repack Sunday, and then off for another week of camping at Fall Creek with the Cabo group. Another amazing camping trip. We got eaten alive by bugs, but the fun out weighed the bites. We have one last camping trip this summer. It's the Crab Trip with the fire department. We will be gone for an entire week for that one. Can't wait. The kids talk about this one all year.
I can't remember when, but there was an enormous hay and structure fire out our way. We were busy doing something when it started, but when we got home that night Jordan couldn't stand not being apart of it, so he went and worked it all night. He loves his job! And the kids are so lucky to have some of the perks with having a dad be a firefighter.

Big news with the kids, Austyn lost her front tooth! She was so excited!! And Quade learned to ride his bike with no training wheels! They are growing up so fast. Austyn will be starting school in a month. Full days of Kindergarten. My heart is breaking. She's excited to be a big kid, but a smidge bit nervous she says. I'm excited to take her school supply shopping! That was my favorite part of a new school year.
Jordan is still studying hard and doing super good in his ODP. He has one more module in October and then he will have a year to work as a captain and prepare for the big promotional test. In his spare time (ha ha) he is always trying to get odds and ends done around the house.
Not a thing is new with me. Just soaking up the little things with the kids. And enjoying every moment.
Nothing big in the foreseeable future. Our last camping trip, school the beginning of September, State Fair, and maybe a BBQ thrown in there somewhere. I try to think of the things we haven't done yet this summer and fishing is about the only thing we haven't really done. I'm sure we can fit that in there somewhere.
